Acia Gray

 

Ms. Gray has toured extensively as performer, choreographer and teacher in over 200 cities across the country and abroad and currently serves as the Producing Artistic Director of Tapestry Dance Company in Austin, TX. Along with her multi-form dance works and directions, she has shared the stage with such tap greats as Steve Condos, Chuck Green, Lon Chaney, Jimmy Slyde, Savion Glover, Sarah Petronio and Brenda Bufalino among many others. She was chosen for the first and second Creative Tap Residencies at the l989 and l990 Colorado Dance Festivals with Mr. Charles 'Honi' Coles and Jimmy Slyde/Sarah Petronio respectively. She was Managing Director and principal dancer with Austin on Tap, served on the Steering Committee of The International Tap Association and was seen in the l990 Dancemagazine Calendar. Along with Tapestry, she teaches an accredited tap program at Austin Community College and The University of Texas at Austin.
